We’re looking for passionate pet lovers and eager entrepreneurs to join the EarthWise family. We know you have a lot of questions. Here are some answers to those we hear most frequently. Don’t see an answer? Talk to one of our representatives by Clicking Here

EarthWise Pet was founded as, and remains, a family-owned business. The parent company is NPM Franchising, which is led by CEO Michael Seitz and President Daniel Webb.
As of 2018, EarthWise has over 50 locations nationwide.
The green leaf of the banyan tree: Represents green products and green business practices. The wolf on the rock: Represents our stance that proper nutrition is best understood by looking at the natural eating habits of our pets’ ancestors (such as the wolf) and replicating their natural diet as much as possible.
Customer intimacy sets us apart. We don’t need to stock every conceivable product — we just need to stock the best products and provide the most caring service.
Thanks to a commitment to pets, their families, and the local community, we are a trusted resource. That is one of our competitive advantages.
Online retailers aren’t much of a threat to EarthWise Pet because they cannot compete on the basis of customer intimacy. While big box stores struggle to compete with the likes of Amazon, we have been thriving and growing.
We require franchise candidates to have a minimum liquidity of $75,000 as well as a net worth of at least $300,000.
While we can’t make any guarantee on how much revenue you’ll make, we have included aggregated financial details of our franchisees in our Franchise Disclosure Document that we give to franchise candidates.
We have availability nationwide, and our store footprints allow for plenty of flexibility, whether you’re looking at large markets, small towns or something in between.
EarthWise franchises range in cost from $233,000 to $568,000. We have many financing options and banking relationships you can leverage to reduce your personal investment.
We charge a franchise fee of $39,500 and a training fee of $19,500 for your first EarthWise Pet franchise. Our royalty rate is a fixed 6% with a 1.5% marketing contribution. If you purchase multiple franchises simultaneously, significant discounts are implemented on the initial franchisee fee, training fee and royalty structure.
Yes. EarthWise has relationships with several lenders that understand the business model and are eager to help qualified candidates finance their franchise. Depending on your credit score and a few other criteria, we can let you know if you are a good candidate for third-party financing.
There are several factors that affect the store development process, including site selection, lease negotiation and funding. We estimate that you will open your store within 6 to 12 months from the time you are formally awarded a franchise.
While some EarthWise franchisees do operate their stores daily, we do not require owner management. This can be especially helpful to those who wish to open multiple franchises.
Our ideal store size is between 1,600 and 2,000 square feet. Within that footprint is the full retail portion as well as grooming and self-wash services.
Yes. We offer veterans who are awarded a first-time franchise a $5,000 rebate off the initial franchisee fee. Subsequent store openings by the same veteran will include a $2,500 rebate.
